  • 625 ml small shell pasta
  • 1 broccoli , separated into small florets
  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 yellow onions (large), chopped
  • 250 g beef , extra-lean, grounded
  • 250 g pork , extra-lean, grounded
  • 600 ml alfredo sauce (store-bought)
  • To taste, salt and pepper
  • 375 ml cheddar , grated
  • 625 ml small shell pasta
  • 1 broccoli , separated into small florets
  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 yellow onions (large), chopped
  • 250 g beef , extra-lean, grounded
  • 250 g pork , extra-lean, grounded
  • 600 ml alfredo sauce (store-bought)
  • To taste, salt and pepper
  • 375 ml cheddar , grated
prep time
  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water for 3 minutes. Add broccoli and continue cooking 1 minute longer. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, fry the onion, add the ground beef and pork and fry until meat is no longer pink. Remove skillet from heat, add alfredo sauce and stir well. In a large bowl, combine pasta and broccoli with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a 33 X 22 cm (13 X 9 in.) baking dish and top with grated cheese.
  4. Bake until cheese has melted, about 8 minutes, and finish under the broiler for 2 minutes, or until cheese is lightly browned.
