  1. In a large casserole, bring beer, apple juice, chicken broth, molasses, and onion to a boil.
  2. Add spareribs and simmer, covered, over low heat for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  3. Remove spareribs from liquid, drain, and pat dry.
  4. Brush spareribs with barbecue sauce. Keep remaining sauce for cooking.
  5. Preheat barbecue to medium. Grill spareribs for about 10 minutes or until they are nicely browned and the bone detaches easily from the meat. Turn them a few times and brush with sauce. Serve with a garnished, baked potato and a green salad.
