  • 175 ml flour , whole-wheat (3/4 cup)
  • 125 ml rolled oats , large flake (1/2 cup)
  • 125 ml brown sugar (1/2 cup), + 45 ml (3 tbsp.) divided
  • 125 ml almond(s) , sliced and chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 ml cinnamon , grounded (1/2 tsp)
  • 75 ml margarine , non-hydrogenated, as cold as possible (1/3 cup)
  • 4 apple(s) , peeled, cored and sliced (750 ml/approv. 3 cups)
  • 750 ml raspberries , frozen (3 cups)

prep time
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. To make topping, mix flour, oats, 1/2 cup (125 mL) sugar, almonds and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  3. Add margarine and blend with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs. Combine fruit in a 9 x 9-in. (1.5 L) baking dish.
  4. Add 3 tbsp (45 mL) of sugar and mix to combine.
  5. Scatter topping over fruit and bake until light brown and bubbling, about 45 min.
  6. Serve with frozen yogourt, if desired.
