Preparation

Step 1
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 2
In a bowl, combine cauliflower with 15 mL (1 tbsp.) of olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
Step 3
Place cauliflower and salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush salmon with remaining olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
Step 4
Bake for 15 minutes or until salmon is cooked and cauliflower is tender. Break up salmon into pieces using a fork. Set aside.
Step 5
Cook pasta al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 6
Place rack in middle of oven. Set oven to broil.
Step 7
In the same saucepan, melt butter. Sprinkle with flour and spices. Combine and cook for 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens, stirring constantly. Add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Add macaroni, salmon, and cauliflower. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 8
Transfer mixture to a baking dish that holds about 2 litres (8 cups). Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Bake for about 3 minutes or until breadcrumbs are light golden brown.
