  • 80 ml vinegar
  • 60 ml brown sugar
  • 60 ml ketchup (tomato ketchup)
  • 10 ml soy sauce (Compliements sodium reduced)
  • 15 ml canola oil
  • 8 chicken drumsticks , skin removed
  • 500 ml broccoli florets
  • 80 ml vinegar

prep time
  1. In a medium bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, ketchup, and soya sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken in skillet and cook, turning occasionally to brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, and pour vinegar mixture over drumsticks, stirring to coat chicken well.
  4. Cover and gently simmer for 7 minutes, turning chicken once.
  5. Add broccoli and continue to cook until chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
