Ingredients

mild Italian sausages, blanched* and sliced

turnip, peeled and diced
500 ml
cabbage, thinly sliced

onion, thinly sliced

carrots, julienned
2
plum tomatoes, diced
1 L
chicken or vegetable broth
4 cups
Salt and pepper, to taste
Toppings
Parmesan cheese, grated
Lemon zest
Basil, minced

Preparation

Step 1
In a pot, brown the sausage slices. Stir in the vegetables and brown. Add the tomatoes and broth and season. Continue cooking for 20 minutes or until vegetables are cooked through and al dente.
Step 2
When ready to serve, garnish with Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, and basil.

Variation

*Note: To blanch the sausages, cook for about 10 minutes in boiling water.
