  • 675 g Italian sausages , cut into thirds
  • 1 red onion(s) , minced
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 375 ml rice
  • 341 ml light beer (1 bottle)
  • 250 ml beef stock
  • 250 ml mushrooms , cut in half
  • 3 stalk(s) celery , cut into chunks
  • 5 sprig(s) rosemary
  • To taste, salt and pepper
  • 375 ml frozen green peas
  • 675 g Italian sausages , cut into thirds
  • 1 red onion(s) , minced
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 375 ml rice
  • 341 ml light beer (1 bottle)
  • 250 ml beef stock
  • 250 ml mushrooms , cut in half
  • 3 stalk(s) celery , cut into chunks
  • 5 sprig(s) rosemary
  • To taste, salt and pepper
  • 375 ml frozen green peas
prep time
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown sausages and onion in oil. Add rice and continue frying for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Deglaze with beer and bring to a boil.
  3. Place sausages and rice in a baking dish and add remaining ingredients (except green peas). Season to taste.
  4. Cover and bake for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Monitor amount of liquid and add more if required.
  5. Add peas 30 to 45 minutes before end of cooking. Adjust seasoning before serving.
