  • 500 ml cranberries , fresh
  • 125 ml sugar
  • 60 ml water
  • 60 ml maple syrup
  • 15 ml cloves
  • 1 toupie boneless half-ham (2 kg)
  • 4 sprig(s) rosemary
  • To taste, pepper (whole peppercorns)

prep time
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Combine the cranberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan and cook for 5 minutes over medium-high heat.
  3. Remove cranberries and set aside.
  4. Boil the liquid on high for 2 minutes. Add the maple syrup and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Place the ham in a roasting pan. Insert cloves in the ham and drizzle with the maple syrup mixture. Garnish with rosemary and generously season with pepper.
  6. Roast in the oven for 2 hours, basting regularly.
  7. Serve with reserved cranberries, rice, and a seasonal vegetable.
