Ingredients

1½ cups
All-purpose flour
375 ml
1 tbsp
Sugar
15 ml
2 tsp
Baking powder
10 ml
A pinch
Salt
2
Eggs
1 cup
Milk
250 ml
1 tsp
Vanilla
5 ml
2 tbsp
Butter or margarine
30 ml
2 large
Apples

Preparation

Step 1
Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Slice the apples into 5 or 6 rings widthwise. Using a small knife, remove the cores from the apples to create rings.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, and vanilla until the texture is smooth.
Step 4
In a skillet, heat about 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of butter over medium heat.
Step 5
Place an apple ring in the crepe batter and turn it to coat.
Step 6
Using a large spoon, remove the ring while also taking some crepe batter with it. Immediately place it in the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes, until the apple crepes are golden brown.
  • Tip: Cook 3 to 5 apple rings at a time, depending on the size of the skillet.
Step 7
Turn the apple rings and cook the other side for about 2 minutes, until it is golden brown as well. Place the apple crepes on a baking sheet. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until there are no more apple rings left.
Step 8
Place the baking sheet with the apple crepes in the oven for 10 minutes to finish cooking.
