  • 30 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml hoisin sauce
  • 30 ml white vinegar
  • To taste, hot sauce
  • 12 shrimp(s) , raw deveined, tail-off, 31-40 calibre, thawed
  • 45 ml vegetable oil
  • 250 g top sirloin beef steak , cut in thin slices
  • 2 clove(s) garlic , finely chopped
  • 15 ml ginger , fresh, grated
  • 3 green onion(s) , sliced diagonally (separate green parts from white)
  • 250 ml snow peas , trimmed and cut in three
  • 250 ml broccoli florets
  • 1 sweet red pepper(s) , cut in strips
  • 125 ml carrot(s) , thinly sliced, cut diagonally
  • 500 ml basmati rice , cooked
  • 1 lime(s) , cut in wedges
  • To taste, sesame seeds , toasted

prep time
  1. Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, and hot sauce in a bowl. Reserve.
  2. In a skillet over high heat, sauté shrimp in 15 mL (1 tbsp.) vegetable oil for 5 minutes. Reserve. Repeat for meat, and reserve.
  3. In the same skillet over medium-high heat, fry garlic, ginger, and white part of green onions in remaining oil. Add vegetables and sauté for 5 to 6 minutes. Add reserved sauce, shrimp, and beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Serve on basmati rice with lime wedges. Sprinkle green part of green onions and sesame seeds over top.

Try other types of meat! This recipe is delicious with pork or chicken strips.
